Spin for Heroes 2020

Onsite Event Questions

Spin4Heroes is an indoor team relay spin-a-thon. A team captain registers each 4-person team and together, they raise funds for the Heroes Foundation. Anyone* can participate in Spin4Heroes! It doesn’t matter if you have never been on a bike or if you compete on a local/regional cycling circuit. You can work out as hard (or as easy) as you want! Remember, the bike is just the vehicle to achieve our end-goal: to serve the cancer community through the funding of support, education, and awareness programs, as well as through funding for medical and scientific research!

Proceeds from our Spin4Heroes event fund the various central Indiana programs of the Heroes Foundation, including the SJP Heroes Cancer Research Fund, Team JOEY, Project Militia and others.  Learn more about the organization, its mission and all programs at www.heroesfoundation.org/our-story/

One spin bike will be provided for each team. You are welcome to bring your own trainer, limit 2 per team.  Each team, regardless of number of team members, will have a 6’ x 8’ space to use.  If a participant would like to utilize the Zwift program/app, they may do so but the laptop or tablet running the program will work best when relying on battery power.  Access to electrical power will be limited and not guaranteed.  Additionally, while the Colts Complex has WIFI connectivity, we can also not guarantee a consistent signal and/or appropriate bandwidth to run the program.

Yes, a wait list will be kept once all available bike/trainer stations have been reserved. If spots should become available, wait-listed team captains will be notified in turn.

Participants of all abilities — including first-time riders — are welcome. Indoor cycling is a fantastic fitness activity that gives you 100 percent control over the intensity of your workout.

No, however if you are under the age of 16, you must be accompanied by an adult.

Each team registered to ride is assigned one bike/trainer station with a maximum of 4 team members, who ride relay-style for a 4-hour cycling shift. How you split the 4-hour period amongst teammates is completely up to you.

All family members are welcome, and encouraged, to be present during the event.  We will have many activities for family members – The Heroes Fun Zone includes a bounce house, facepainter, obstacle course, coloring area and much more at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center.
